How to Join an Ethical Affiliate Scheme – and Stay Guilt Free!

Monetise Your Blog Now!

All the articles you read positively encourage you to monetise your blog and, let’s be honest, you probably would like to earn money from your blog, either as a full-time living or to supplement your existing income.  So what’s holding you back?

This site and post may contain affiliate links from Amazon, Bluehost, Grammarly, Zazzle, WordPress, Shutterstock, Society6, Teepublic, Redbubble and if you click on a link and purchase a product from that website I will earn a small fee (which will go towards getting me Out of the Office!)

Affiliate Schemes

One of the easiest ways to monetise your blog is to sign up to an affiliate scheme such as those run by Amazon or Ebay.

But what if you don’t approve of the way some companies conduct their businesses? Perhaps you feel uneasy about recommending their products.

Affiliate – but Stay Ethical – and Guilt Free!

If this is the case, there is a solution – you can seek some alternative affiliates who market themselves as ethical.  So you can sign up to their schemes, make money online and stay guilt free! Here are a few companies who offer ethical affiliate schemes:

The Natural Store ‘The Natural Store is now in its 9th year with over 20,000 visitors each month. Home to the World’s Finest Ethical Brands, offering over 3,000 hand picked for our customers delight and lasting satisfaction. A world where every item has been specially selected because it is ethical in some form, be it – Fair Trade, Local, Natural, Organic, Recycled, Reclaimed, Vegan, Vegetarian or Vintage.’

Ethical Superstore  From their website: ‘Here at Ethical Superstore we’ve made it our mission to enable you to make feel good choices when it comes to your shopping. To help you make the choices you feel are right we bring together products sourced from all over the world and that hold the ethical credentials we know are important to our customers. Whether you’re new to the idea of ethically-conscious buying or you’re very passionate about a whole range of ethical issues that affect what you buy, those values are personal to you and we are here to make it easier for you to live by those ideals.

Ethical Superstore offers access to all the major fair trade and green brands including Cafedirect, Traidcraft, People Tree, Green & Blacks, Divine, Ecover, Freeplay, EcoZone, Solio and many more.  The full range includes gadgets, gifts, cosmetics, foods, beverages, CDs, books, DVDs plus handmade lifestyle and fashion products.’

They currently pay between 5 – 10% commission on all sales which you refer.

Natural Collection say they are ‘the UK’s leading and award winning green shop offering a department store range of ecologically considered products, including organic cotton and fair trade clothing and accessories, gorgeous homeware and gardenware, energy-saving gadgets, organic cosmetics, eco cleaning products and much more.  We check every product so you can purchase from us in eco confidence.  If you have a website or email newsletter you can promote ecological products and generate commission for yourself, your cause or your group.’

Both the Ethical Superstore and Natural Collection require a small registration fee which will be refunded in your first commission payment.

Keep Your Conscience Clear

There are other ethical schemes.  You may have to do a little work searching for them and they may not be as simple to use as the big companies’ schemes but maybe it is worth a little time and effort to support ethical companies and keep your conscience clear.

After all, Theodore Roosevelt said,

Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty …
